Director: Dinah Armstead, Ph.D.

    Dr. Armstead has spent time abroad in several Spanish-speaking countries.  She holds a doctorate degree in Educational Policy with a concentration in Global Studies.  She has taught at the Universidad de Guanajuato (Mexico), the University of Illinois, and Parkland College. She specializes in Language Teaching through content-based activities and communicative language teaching (CLT).  She has experience teaching both children and adults.  In addition to Spanish, she also teaches French, ESL, and Cultural Studies.  Her research investigates the acquisition of intercultural competence and diversifying study abroad.
